DREAM (sort of) with former aquaintances

I was sitting in our van which was parked near our house, but not in our parking area off the alley. It was on the street, and certain houses on our street were moved around so that some buildings down towards the former Kohl's grocery store were closer to our block. As I was sitting in our van, I was noticing some people moving into one of those buildings, and I realized it was some people we used to know. Their kid was staring at me, and although the kid was only a few years older in the dream than the way she was the last time she saw us over a decade ago (she'd be a teenager now), she somehow recognized us. She kept looking our way, and I was a bit freaked out. I didn't want her parents to see me because I did not want them to know we still lived here. I was hoping they never figured out we were here.

Stan said...: I can't imagine anyone like that moving to Madison, because the 'city' would just be too frightening to them. It's odd to me that so many people who live in small towns in southern Wisconsin think Madison is a big city.

I grew up in a town of less than 2000 and Madison seems like a small nice place to me. It is growing fast and the traffic has really increased in the past 10 years. I suppose a place like this is just going to keep growing.

I don't think you would really have to worry about people we use to know moving here.; 7:12 PM
Ann said...: They also have some reasons for not moving out of the comort of the small environment where he can keep his job forever since it's not likely he'll be able to get hired anywhere else that isn't run by a relative...if you know what I mean.; 7:18 PM
