I was on a plane. I don't remember flying, but I remember landing. It was as if I woke up in the dream as soon as we landed. I wasn't sitting in a seat, but on the floor. There was a big open spot between seats and that's where I sat. I looked out the window and heard the pilot say something about the runway. Then we stopped and it got really foggy outside. Then I could feel the plane turn around and then we started to taxi down the runway. For some reason I knew we were in an "A" city like Albuquerque or Atlanta, but I don't know which. The plane started to taxi down a city street. I could see cars and trucks out the window. I thought it was very odd, because it was just like these reoccurring dreams I have where I'm on a plane traveling down a highway. Newsflash: This is a reoccurring dream where the plane is traveling down a highway. Then I feel the plane start to lift as we're getting into a congested area, but it bumps some vehicle like a tall truck. I hear the passengers all gasp, but neither the truck or the plane seemed to be damaged. Then we lift some more, but we don't go into the sky, we keep hovering over the highway. Odd.
I also know there was a lot more to these dreams than I can remember, like being on some kind of boat, but it was so mixed up and confusing that I can't remember it.

Strange plane on highway dreams, and I can't imagine what it could mean. It only has a feature of traveling in a space out of place that seems to stand out. Perhaps it has something to do with having to make an unexpected trip?
I think we might have shaired some of my co-worker stories with Bill. I could have told him about a hip thruster; air humping guy I once knew at work. Definately very funny if you don't have to acutally be around such perverted fluff.
So when you told Bill about these guys' behaviors, did he say in the way he often does, "You're making this up!"?
He was quite disturbed that _o_d_ was doing it. I think in the dream _o_d_ was staying with him at his place, probably to finish some musical project.
Reoccuring dreams are fun when you relaize mid dream, and think, of its this one again! Sometimes I "fastforward" them, because I have seen it before. Then it is more like a "previously on LOST" type of imagery. wow, I heard that deep voice in my head when I typed that. Is it a voice of a character? Wow, way off topic. Talk about a tanget.
I like your highway dream, it is very interesting!
Sounds like you can do lucid dreaming, Dawn. I haven't ever gotten to that point. Usually during a reoccurring dream, I still think it is really happening to me, so when I recognize the reoccurring imagery, I'm always amazed that my "real life" is experiencing a dream moment. Even though it's not real life, but I think it is in the dream.
So often during a dream I will think, "wow, this plane falling out of the sky is just like out of a dream" or "wow, this pond with warm water and tadpoles is just like those reocurring dreams I have."
oh that is funny that you think it is like a dream, but don't realize it. I argue with my dreams, too. Sometimes if a dream has an element to it that is very unlike my real life, I realize it! I think, hey, that isn't right, it's like this! That usually happens with a very mundane dream, one that is trying to closely represent my life, and it gets my attention. Totally off the wall dreams usually get left alone though.
what is is really scary is when I wake up while still sleeping, and realize I am paralyzed and unable to speak. It occurs when I fall asleep, and is an actual sleep disorder. it will happen because of lack of sleep. My body falls asleep but my mind is awake, i freak out, start to dream, and think I am talking or moving, but I am only fighting it, trying to move. then I wake up. It is scary. I have never gone with it ever! I am always too scared and wake myself up completely. it can also happen to people who are already sleeping, and are starting to wake up. This is usually confused with demon dreams and people may think they are being attacked by satan, or that someone is sitting on them. then when you tell them (my mother, my friends) that it is just a medical condition, they get all defensive and blame satan.
long ass tangent again. why do i do that? if it irritates you let me know, and next time i tangent i will delete it before i post.
How does this kind of dream state make people feel like there is another presence near them like a demon or satan kind of thing?
because it is terrifying to wake up and not be able to move or open your eyes, or speak, and some people feel pressure on their chest, like someone is sitting on them. some people report feeling like they are being watched. I have not had the last two, but it is common with this sleep disorder. If you are raised to believe in demonic attacks, and are suseptible to believing that kind of stuff, then you might rationalize this as a demonic attack. ignorance, stan. it comes down to ignorance.
I never thought I was being attacked, but I did teach my husband to wake me if I flinch or squeak while falling asleep. It is only supposed to last 2 minutes or so, I believe, but they are the longest 2 minutes you can imagine!
Strange dream state feelings - thank you for explaining.
