Fall Colors

Tree color was pretty this year in Wisconsin, but what really surprised me was the color on a couple of our own trees/bushes here.

In the past these plants have had yellow leaves, and having the rust and purple tones is very beautiful.

I've never seen them with so much pinky orangeyness before...

last year I think maybe they turned a little yellow, but mostly just got brown and fell off.

I forgot to mention--and take a picture of--our forsythia. It is all yellow, just like it is in the spring, but with different parts of the plant.

The forsythia is a yellow that is almost as intense as their flowers.
