12:20:2002 Entry: "Ann : More Caterpillars"

More Caterpillars

Stasia is another Wisconsinite who just happened to adopt a Monarch caterpillar named Herman. Unfortunately, Herman didn't make it to butterflyhood as he was killed by those evil Tachnid flies like some of mine were last year. It was sad.

Today Stan brought home "a bird turd," i.e., a very young Black Swallowtail caterpillar. (They look like bird turds when they are young to fool their enemies).

I am trying to get back into experimenting with Flash and decided to make a couple caterpillar animations just for fun.

Cool animations :) Do you use the flash program from Macromedia and is that the only flash program in the whole entire world? I'm asking because I like to download my stuff for free ;)

I think there's something called "Swish" that is PC-only (which is why my knowledge of it is limited) which is a lot cheaper than Flash. Try doing a search on it, but I don't know that much about it.

I use Flash 4, which is like several years old. Haven't been able to afford to upgrade a lot lately. :-(

Actually, swish is a POS and is for text only.

:(

I have Flash also - but I love it for drawing my little comic & Nagel- wannabe illustrations :)

Oh wait, aside from those lamer clients who want a big INTRO, that is.

Yes, Flash is the only GOOD thing - but check ebay.com a lot of people sell used software there pretty inexpensively.

Not free, but often close. :)

I got QuarkXPress 5 for $10.00, as someone bought it and realized they didn't need it after all. I got the book, disk and reg. info for $10.00. :)
