DREAM - Dog and Cat
It was one of those warmish, cloudy days in winter. Stan and I were outside working on the house/gardens. Our neighbor was outside too, and he had a dog which sort of looked like Plato, except the snout was larger, like some other kind of 'non-Boston' type of Terrier, although he swore it was a Boston Terrier. He also had a tiny puppy that looked related to his other dog. He was talking about how he was going to have a tv series about his (older) dog and it would be aired on 'Animal Planet.' His dog would be called 'Daisy.' There were some camera people milling around his yard, and I thought it would be kind of neat to have our house appear in some episodes, but I was worried that it might come off looking in bad shape. I didn't have the heart to tell him that there already was a Canadian-made show called 'Pet Project' about a Boston Terrier named Daisy that aired on The Animal Planet back in the '90s. I asked him what about the little puppy, why they couldn't make a show about the puppy as well. He said it was because the puppy couldn't act. Then he or his wife said something about there being a cat in the road that was hurt. I turned to look, then started to walk to the edge of our yard because I heard it crying. I was limping, my leg or foot hurt for some reason. There was a cat in the middle of the street. It looked like it had been hit by a car, its leg was askew and a bone was poking out. I headed inside to make a call to the humane society, then I woke up.
