12:20:2003 Entry: "Ann : 1972-1973"

1972-1973

The Bowie and Pink Floyd segments were all too short, but at least they weren't that smarmy about them. Nothing new, video-wise that I haven't seen before...most, if not all, of the Bowie footage was from the Ziggy Stardust movie of the final Zig performance. Most of the (oh so short and mostly Gilmour-centric) Floyd stuff was from Pompeii or the upcoming DSOTM DVD. But it gets so tiring when all these pubescentesque pundits that VH1 has assembled for the commentaries keep drudging up the "great music to get high to" angle. Get over it already.

I just wish VH1 would get their act together and focus on music rather than all the silly nonsense kid shows and board games.

Why do you do search on Dana Parsley? There is one you know. She is ME!....dkp

What does this have to do with David Bowie or Pink Floyd or VH1 or the years 1972-73? :D

I had a dream about half a year ago (In an OLD entry that is no longer active) where someone's name was Dana Parsley. Do I know you? Nothing comes up in a search, except my own entry, which is rather circular.

I've been watching this thanks to your post.

Now I turned 13 in 1970, so it's irritating me that the panel of people making commentary hadn't even entered puberty.

I mean my sister was born in '71 and I consider her an '80's child'.

I am having a good time with the remebering stuff my old brain had forgotten about though!

Hiya Tina!

Yes, it is annoying how those panelists are so young, yet at the same time they're recounting it like they were there! Yeah, vicariously through their older siblings or what?

I was born in '61 so that pretty much makes me the ultimate 70s child, that decade consisting of the most formative years of my life. Unfortunately a lot of the stuff they're reminiscing about, I'd rather forget! :-)
