04:22:2005 Entry: "Ann : Uh oh, here she goes again..."
Uh oh, here she goes again...
I visited Bran's site and found a couple of tests which led me to the Blogthings which have a bunch of tests. Oh no, not tests. Anyway, I think Stan will be glad to know that:
Your Inner European is Italian! |
Passionate and colorful.
You show the world what culture really is. |
It must've been the Tiramisu desert and Ferrari, although they didn't have a choice of Jaguar as favorite car...that might've tilted a bit more toward British, no? Anyway, I got a charge out of this one:
Ann Elizabeth Stretton's Aliases
| Your movie star name: Pistachio Nuts Edward
| Your fashion designer name is Ann London
| Your socialite name is Yankee Doodle Madison
| Your fly girl / guy name is A Str
| Your detective name is Dog Fort Collins
| Your barfly name is Cake Bloody Mary
| Your soap opera name is Elizabeth Huckleberry Lane
| Your rock star name is Chocolate Jaguar
| Your star wars name is Annluc Strrog
| Your punk rock band name is The Tired Enema Bag
|
The Tired Enema Bag. Heh. Some of them make absolutely no sense to me, but I love my designer, socialite and rockstar name. And punk rock band name.

the tests always get me. i try to resist, but it is a monumental task. i did the aliases test, just now--i would post the results but i don't want people to know what high school i went to and what my full real name is, etc. my punk rock band name was The Blah Wooden Spoons thought that one was a riot.

What bothers me about the tests is that there's always more possibilities than what you can choose, i.e., like the street I grew up on...well, we moved around a lot, so I grew up on LOTS of streets (I just picked the one from my favorite neighborhood). Or there's no choice available, i.e., like for Jaguar for your fave car in the inner Euro test. Or like the one for what kind of American accent you speak, I use both pop and soda, but there wasn't an option for that. I took it one day and I had like 10% dixie accent, but I've never layed foot in the south (does driving through Missouri count?). The other day I took it, that dixie was replaced by 10% Yankee, and I did live in Massachusetts for 2 years when I was young. So, the accuracy of them bothers me a little. They're still a fun little distraction, though.

the accuracy is definitely questionable. (and with limited options) -- but yeah, a good distraction. these things spread like wildfire! it's amazing how quickly the silly quizzes manifest themselves in every blog/journal/personal website within the webosphere, and in all kinds of sites from people of all age groups and walks of life. it may be like dime-store fortunetelling, like having ones palm read--we think we're getting a glimpse into ourselves, and the price is cheap. (or in this case, free.) so why not? it's fun.

I'm very happy that your inner European is Italian, and we are compatable.
