Pink Floyd Reunion
That was just so incredible! Beyond all expectations, I felt like crying...just amazing! I think Roger was authentically glad to be performing with them. I had this strange sense of deja vu a short while before they came on, like a dream of mine that they had united or something. It still seems not alltogether real, if you know what I mean. The Roxy Music performance (which I fortunately was able to catch on AOL via Windows Media Player, tiny as it was, no thanks to MTVH1) was great too...too short though...didn't even seem like they did 4 songs. The Who's performance seemed cut short...thought they were supposed to do 4 songs, not 2. As crap as MTVH1's presentation of this whole event is, I was really glad they did devote as much time to the Floyd as they did. A bit bummed the hosts (barkers, as Stan calls them) cut into it to blab during Comfy Numb, but I was fearing they'd only show 1 song, or a short fraction thereof. Ehhhh...watching Paul McCartney really is an anticlimax to the whole thing after Pink Floyd. But I'll keep it on just in case they show an interview or something.

They played well together. Does this mean that Roger does 'play well with others'?

Ha! Of course he does! Perhaps it was never Roger that didn't play well with others in the first place, hmm? But David's voice was really good, really smooth, actually, he sounded better than on some of those bootlegs from the 70s. Mmm...Roger looks great for a man of 61. Sorry, Stan, don't get too jealous, okay? OK, I calculated that their collective age is about 240 years that's HARDLY that half a milennium that MTVH1 said on their site. Damn ageists.

I think I wouldn't argue about the mielinnium thing, because these kids learned a 'different math' than we did. I'm not sure if they study cal. or trig. anymore either, but I understand addition is more of a personal thing now. Yes, Dave's voice was great. 'Jealous Guy' isn't my song.

Oh, right. The New Math. Right. It doesn't matter if it's accurate, just as long as it gets their silly point across. Urgh. Well, I'm glad you're not a Jealous Guy! You poked me during that performance and said it was mine! So...who am I jealous of, hmm?

Diane Keaton - yes? Surely you might be jealous of anyone I might think is interesting, but I don't put much effort into seeking out women. I guess I'm more of a reclusive 'carl' type. Besides I barely have enough time to spend with you, so there's no time for anyone else anyway.
