02:07:2006 Entry: "Ann : DREAM: Roger Waters for VP?"

DREAM: Roger Waters for VP?

I was watching TV and Roger Waters was on, not as a musician but as a vice presidential candidate! (democrat, I assume) Roger looked younger, like maybe the way he did in the 80s or 90s (his hair wasn't grey). I remember feeling very happy and proud that my favorite rock composer was running for office. I was also admiring his nose. Then there was this weird ball game featuring a bunch of Senators tumbling around a ball court, playing football or something. Roger was there as well, but I specifically remember Ted Kennedy bumbling around. (WTF??!?!?!?) It's weird, because the announcement of the vice presidential candidate was made before they chose a presidential candidate. But the choice was eventually made within the course of this dream, and Kerry was chosen again, and there was a collective cosmic groan of disgust that could be heard across dreamland, like how can the Democratic party be so stupid to run him again?

(OK, but if there's any symbolism in the dream, maybe the Dem frontrunner in 2008 will be lame, but the VP will be a rockstar, figuratively speaking.)

So, do you think Mrs. Clinton will run? Of your recent dreams, I like this one the best. It is so figurative!

I do think she will run. Personally, I preferred her vision better when Bill was president. Now it seems like she's pandering a bit rightward. I know Stan likes her, and regardless of who the nominee is, I will vote for them. But I'd prefer to see someone else besides her. She seems a bit power-hungry. My personal choice is Wisconsin's own Senator, Russ Feingold (call me biased). But not sure if he's thinking about it, although there is talk. Maybe he's the rockstar.

If Russ will run the Republicans will lose. Not even the California Kennedy by marrage marrage marrage could win in that election.

The D's need a candadate that is a good public speaker, outgoing and friendly and most of all, not afraid to take a stand on something. Kerry's "I oppose everything bush stands for" was a cop out, and I refused to vote that year. I was just mad. I lookde hard, and couldn't find anything anyware that stated what he did believe in or stand for. Then a couple of months ago I saw him speaking on some News show and was astounded. He was great! Someone else must have told him to hold back or something. Definately not the right way to go. I honestly can't say that I am up on hill's vision is and am just unpolitical enough to not know how to find out at this time. But it doesn't matter. She has my vote. I refuse to vote Rebublican (at this time, but reserve the right to change my mind in the future, you never know!)
Oh yeah! If the law changed I would vote for Arnold.

I can see one time when I would vote for a Republican presidential candidate--if I was living in 1860. But now in this time of the NeoCons, they are pretty much on opposite ends of what I am for, and vice-a-versa. Bush and Pals makes the Nixon administration and Watergate look like a bunch of schoolboys making party tapes (reference to hilarious Dan Akroyd skit from 1970s SNL) The whole bill introduced by Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) to allow naturalized foreign-born citizens to become president seems like an obvious ploy to keep Republicans in power so they can pull out their ace-in-the-hole Ahnold when they feel the democratic competition might be especially strong. They know the public is a sucker for celebrity, and Ahnold is their boy. It just seems a bit hypocritical that in this age of super-protectionist border patrol and isolationism (I heard some R from Colorado wants to build a fence between US & Canada) that this bill would even be a possibility, especially coming from a R like Hatch, of all people. It smacks of ulterior motive. The election that Ahnold won, the California recall, seemed frivolous and unnecessary. Sure, Gray Davis may have been an incompetent corrupt dimwit that didn't do what a certain percent of the population liked, ok, fine, vote the bum out next time around. If that's the measure for recalls, we should've had a Presidential recall back in 2001. (not that I wouldn't have minded, however). What I fear more than the Hatch bill is something (B. Clinton, of all people) proposed a while back about letting a former president who has served two terms come back for a third after he's been out of office! (read link) This idea could be appropriated by the Rs to let Shrub stay in power for the rest of his life (or until his brain dies (Karl Rove), whichever comes first. You know, a "don't change horses in midstream" type thing (from the movie Wag the Dog).

There is no way the american people would vote dumbass into office agian, ever ever ever. EVER! I personally would would call organize amarch on dc for a rally that would make the sixties look like a preschool gathering. I girl can only take so much! I heard about that fence thing- it is absolutely insane! And any way , aren't illgals good for the economy? And isn't that what our country is about? Capitalism? (when I think dumbass, I think of Red from that 70s show, lol!)
