Blizzard & DREAM
We are completely snowed in today. Both my neighbors cars are still in their driveway, so there must be some closures around town. Stan has it easy now, just going across the street to catch a bus. I'm glad he won't be driving home in this. It is completely white out there. I heard the weirdest noise this morning; I thought it was a plane, but then maybe it was a snowplow. Then there was static on the radio, and I realized it was thunder! It's 25 degrees outside, and there's a lightning storm out there! I've only experienced this in Wisconsin; I can't remember winter lightning storms in Colorado. Right as I sat down to type the above, Lucifer Sam DEMANDED I take him outside, so I did, which was actually good because it made remember a snippet of a dream last night. In the dream, Lucifer Sam pooped out regular stuff as well as a large metal paper clip and a large metal safety pin. They were linked together, and right in the middle of a row of regular dog poop links. I was thinking (in the dream) that no wonder why he had an upset stomach a week and a half ago. Of course that doesn't make any sense. Anyway, there's something strangely comforting about being snowed in, staying home, watching the olympics, working on my laptop and jewelry and being thankful we don't have to go anywhere. Unfortunately, Pugapalooza is this Sunday and the weather is going to be cold. It's held inside, but I don't think it'll be heated very well. We haven't been taking Lucifer Sam to the regular weekly Pug Play dates (ironically, now that Stan has every weekend off) because it's so cold in that building. It's obnoxious for us, but the real reason is for Lucifer Sam. He gets cold after a while, and then he wants to just sit on our laps. That's no fun, and sort of a waste of money and 'cause he can do that at home anytime. Maybe at Pugapalooza there'll be more pugs, and a different environment will maybe keep his interest in playing longer.

Does LS have a little jacket he could wear?

Yeah, but he doesn't like to wear clothes and he feels inhibited in them as far as running around. We'll try it though.

He prefers to run naked and wild and free and unencumbered. And cold. :)

I think the pug will run around and get cold and i'll have to hold him a while to warn him up again - it will be sweet.

I wish there was a dog play date place here! Everyone just lets their dogs run wild. We need a fence just to keep the buggers out of our yard!
