DREAMs: Dark Forest with Animals and Someone Else's War

Dream 1: I was riding a bike and it was getting dark. I didn't have a bike light, just a strange flashing red diode thing on the front. To avoid street traffic, I went down a forested road, like in the Arboreteum. There were all these animals using the road, like small deer, foxes and wolves. It was as if they were people walking down a paved road, except they were animals. Or they were animals that preferred the road to travelling in the woods. It was most surreal. As I headed out of the woods, it got lighter outside. I headed into a suburban neighborhood, except it's not like any neighborhood I've seen. The houses were large and arranged like they are in older areas in Madison, up on hills, houses close together with lots of trees. The houses looked like they were built in the 70s with lots of levels. Lots of windows too. It was weird, because as I was heading out of the woods, out of the dark and into the light, Stan's alarm clock went off.

Dream 2: This dream is very hard to describe. I was hearing a song on the radio that was somehow describing me and Stan back when we were getting to know eachother in the early 80s, but then it takes on a very strange direction, and it becomes someone else's life as Stan, or the male, gets called up to fight in the Falkland war. I wake up with tears streaming out of my eyes.

I have lots of good memories about us hanging around together in the early 80's - sorry I was called to war and became someone else. Very sad...

About the first dream... are you going to need a house with levels someday?

But I think we became someone else together. If that makes sense. Or the dream became about other people and not us. I know it's confusing.

It's nice to dream about having a house with multiple levels, but it's not a possibility right now. I'm happy with 2 stories and a creepy basement, and that's more than we could get if we wanted something else.

Multiple level houses are kind of strange if you ask me, but youweren't, lol!
I had to laugh- "It was most surreal". I thought, doesn't that mean like a dream?

So I looked up the exact definition. "Having an oddly dreamlike quality." -dictionary.com

So your dream was very dreamlike?

Dream number to is very sad. I hate spouse gets hurt/dies/etc type of dreams. They are sad!

Actually, some dreams aren't surreal, they're sort of mundane. But maybe I should've used the term "cubist" instead of surreal, like when a dream is fragmented and you can see different sides of it from the same angle.

I know what you mean, it was just funny to me. I have a very odd sense of humor!

I like our house too. The creepy basement doesn't bother me any more, but when we first got the house it was kind of creepy.

The old water heater had some spare plumbing parts sitting on top of it. I was down in the basement working on something and I heard something fall on the floor. I went to look and it was a metal pipe thing from the top of the water heater. It was as if someone knocked it off, but I have no idea why it fell.

We don't have much in the way of haunted house things, and leave it to the basement to be the place for something like that. Otherwise the basement is mostly dark, dusty and small feeling.
