DREAM: Bad dream with 70s skank
I was with some other people, mostly men, I think. Stan was there too. We were told by some guy to run around on a certain street. I also remember an Asian import store with interesting Tibetan items. The guy who told us to run around was filming us, and after we were through running around, he showed us an edited film of the event. We figured he used actors to do what he told us to do, and then he pretended he was actually showing us ourselves. It was quite humiliating. He used a nerdy little actor to play Stan, like Stan as 12 years old. I thought that was being really unfair to portray us as we used to be and are not anymore. I don't remember seeing anyone portraying me, however. I was trying to watch it on a small tv screen that was up high. A tall, large woman was in my way and I was really mad because she was so rude blocking everyone's view that was behind her, so I tried to physically pull her down (rude of me...why didn't I just ask her?). Then she gets really mad at me and tries to physically fight me, but I am actually stronger than her and I block her arms whenever she tries to do anything. She is a NPW...looks like she got into too many bad relationships and bar fights...bad pockmarked complexion, awful make-up application that made her look like a 1970s skank. I woke up and I was crying. I'm just very thankful that I didn't scream anything out loud in my sleep as I was in a hotel last night.

your title "70s skank" brings to mind a photo I saw in the newspaper a few days ago. The article was in the business section - something about some cable or TV outlet and what they were offering which included "oldie" reruns. The story was illustrated with a still of the "sweathogs" goofing off from the Welcom Back Kotter TV series. One of the guys (not John Travolta) had a pair of pants on that was so tight he looked like he was being castrated. Thank goodness the skin tight pants look is out (at least for guys - seems to be pretty in for the gals tho.)

I'm glad you didn't yell out too, so the owners wouldn't end up wondering if your husband was tormenting you. What was it that you shouted out in on the new england trip... "Why don't you just kill me?" The next morning the hotel owners were hiding there children from me as we were leaving.

They were not hiding their children, Stan. But here's the dream from 2002 anyway: "We were at my mom's house and Stan's sister Jamie was there too. She had some large sketchpads (18x24) of art she had done. I had layed them out on some furniture of my parents, on their stereo speakers, on some other things my mom had. My mom wanted to see what the sketches were, then she started getting mad because they were on her furniture. I didn't want her to get mad at Jamie because I had put them there, so I apologized and said I forgot that she didn't want me to put anything on her furniture. She kept going on about how she didn't want anything placed there, and wouldn't accept my apology, so I blurt out, 'just go ahead and kill me, I don't care anymore.' I said this in my sleep, out loud. I woke myself and Stan up. Immediately, Stan says, 'Oh great, do you know what you just said?' Coming to, I say 'Yes, it was just a dream.' Stan said, 'I hope they (meaning people in any adjoining rooms, the motel managers) don't think I'm trying to kill you.'"
