Friday, May 20, 2005ILLUSTRATION FRIDAY: AquaticFor Illustration Friday. I can't swim myself, but I love the water. Go figure. Posted by Ann on 05/20/05@03:02 PM CST ..::Link::..Whisper or Scream?Thursday, May 19, 2005DREAM: In the Future, Everyone will be a Criminal for 15 MinutesFor some reason, Stan and I, in conjunction with some other faceless people and a guy we used to know from Colorado, conspired to rob some art gallery of Andy Warhol prints. It was as if I was still in college because I wasn't living with Stan at this point. After we had discussed the plan, we went back to our respective living quarters. I suddenly got cold feet...I didn't want to get caught and get a record. I decided to back out of the deal. I tried to call the organizer (the guy we used to know), but my fingers kept pressing the wrong buttons on the phone (I hate that recurring motif). Finally, when I got through, no one answered. I decided to call Stan. I told him I was backing out of the deal and that I wished he would too. I knew the other guy would be very disappointed in us, but too bad. Then later in the dream it was very mixed up...something about recording porn movies (not to watch them, but to combine them in some sort of weird art performance political piece). I was talking to a cop who was a real d***head, giving me crusty looks saying that he knew I had porn movies in my bag...well, I did, but it wasn't for what he thought it was. (I guess porn was illegal to posses in this dreamland) Posted by Ann on 05/19/05@10:40 AM CST ..::Link::..Whisper or Scream?Wednesday, May 18, 2005ILLUSTRATION FRIDAY: NourishmentFor Illustration Friday. Nourishment isn't always the obvious, it isn't always the positive space, the vitamins, the food, the consumption. Sometimes it is the negative space, the unseen, what we do not consume, and what we let out. That is what also nourishes us and feeds our soul. The night, when we sleep, is just as nourishing as the day. I had different plans for this IF on the day the new topic arrived, but that same day a houseguest arrived. Company always wears me out and makes me crave sleep more than anything. I need to unwind and renourish my body again. I also dreamt I had a couple small rats and a guinea pig that I was taking care of. Somehow the guinea pig got into the rat area and started to attacking one of them. I was afraid the rat was dead, but I couldn't find any blood or wounds. I know there was more to the dream, but that's all I can remember. I do remember a bit of a dream I had the other night that I was too busy to write down...I was in Fort Collins and I had to find a place to stay for the night. An old friend from high school was there...staying with her was a possibility (IRL, NO IT IS NOT!), but I really wanted to stay at Bill's. I said, "please say no so that I can stay at Bill's," but unfortunately she said she would take me in for the night. Thank goodness some dreams are just that...although a new and yet unseen Pink Floyd video would be wonderful, staying at an old friend's house (when we probably detest eachother's guts) would be wretched. Bill would obviously be my first choice for lodging if for some reason my parents weren't there. Was tyring to find appropriate hats and make due with whatever clothing material I could find. Stan didn't want to wear a hat, but I said he had to for the effect. There was more to the dream to that, but that was the only coherent part.
