DREAMS
Disturbing dreams. Stan and I were arranging an adoption for some woman (I don't know who). We presented her with a male child about two years old. This was not our child, but some third party's...we were just the intermediaries. We told her that she could take the child home with her, and that if she didn't like it, she could return it. I thought the child was a brat, personally. He was more interested in me than in his possibly future parent, but maybe that was because I was smiling at him, trying to get him to open up. It was very forceful and kept hitting me with a stick. He also wanted to look inside my ear. Then his "mother" was explaining to me that if I wanted to breastfeed a child, I had to condition my nipples to get them used to it, so she started kneading my nipples like small bits of modeling clay until they started coming apart. It was absolutely horrible. In another dream later, I dreamt that Stan, Tim and I were at the University near the (in)Humanities building. Tim told us he had to take care of something in the building, and that we should wait for him outside. Stan and I got in our car and started driving around the intersection of University and Park, looking out for Tim to emerge from the building. When we finally saw him, Stan said he was hungry and wanted to eat at Student Union. I thought this odd. I also had another dream where I was really mad at someone and woke up crying and screaming, but I don't remember what it was about.

Wow Ann!! Those are some scary vivid dreams! Do you ever go to Dreamstop and have them analyzed?

I tried it, but wasn't too impressed with the results; it seemed like the analysis was very generic and would only pick up on a few common key words, ignoring the really weird stuff (I mean you can't expect that much from an automated computer response!). Also, certain things might mean completely different things to different people. I may like the feeling of being in the attic of an old house, or being in a muddy pond with frogs, but it might terrify someone else; A dream about pregnancy may delight someone who wants to have a child whereas it would scare the crap out of me. Heh. I guess I've learned to enjoy dreams and not put too much credence in the concept that they all mean something. As Freud said, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. :-)
