04:21:2002 Entry: "I Got You, Babe...I mean, I Got You, Stan."

I Got You, Babe...I mean, I Got You, Stan.

Friday night Stan and I went out with Tim and Johanna, Stan's friend from work. Had it not been for the fact that Tim is as gay as a picnic basket (his words, not mine), it would've been one of those things where you introduce two friends and they end up going out with eachother. This has happened before with friends of ours...we have that effect on people. The weird thing is that they had met before several years ago at party at the Toilet Paper Museum (don't ask...it was a former well-known Madison party institution)...one of those weird one degree of separation things. (Bacon, Bacon, something smells like Kevin Bacon...) Ironically, both of them were coming off a boyfriend breakup. So we made a toast to "men, they're all pigs, except for Stan." (Well, I guess Tim would be included in that too, since he was the one who started the toast)

Did I happen to marry the only non-swine of the male species? Are there other men out there who don't make you think of pork chops?

I want to know. Are you married to a non-oinker? Are you a non-piggy male yourself? Tell me your story. I don't want to hear about how lousy your boyfriend Arnold Ziffel is...I only want to hear about non-swine....good stories, appropriate for Valentine's Day. If you are a guy who considers yourself to be lacking in porcine qualities, let me know WHY you're NOT Porky's nephew. Just leave a comment...and it's OK to ham it up.

(Of course if no one comments, I will naturally assume I am married to the only non-piggy man in the universe, thank you very much)

As I'm speechless I can't comment. If a man talked about women the way you talk about men, I can imagine the reaction from you and other females ;o)

Uh...yeah, I said a lot of AWFULLY BAD STUFF in a really SERIOUS MANNER about men in that post.

WTF? Lighten up, Nico.

Hi Ann! :o)
I have a boyfriend who isn't swine. Well, he is sometimes, but most of the time he's a dear! When he is swine, I call him on it and he apologizes. (It usually isn't anything too hoggy....) When I get mad at him though, I DO call him a javelina!! hehehehe....

I am married to a very non-piggy male. I think perhaps he is refurbished. ;)

We're very lucky, actually. I'm straightforward, he's accepting. We talk about *everything*.

We're partners. I always wanted a stand-beside man, and that's what I've got. He doesn't lead or control me, nor does he follow or drag on me. We do things together.

I think that how I am in the relationship very much affects how he is, too. I imagine, Ann, that you don't pull a lot of the crap that some women & men seem to think they have to do -- "don't go out with your buddies", "your life is me", "you know why I'm angry".

I'm glad you have such a solid relationship with your Stan. And Tim, of course.

;) Suzanne

I'm married to a non-swine. I'm probably more of an oinker than he is. He's not perfect or anything but he is very considerate and supportive of female type things--he has no problem with buying tampons at the store, is as fine with cooking dinner as he is fixing the car, is all for women's rights and equity in the workplace, doesn't leave the seat up, doesn't hog the TV all day to watch sports, etc. Hey, sometimes it's the little things that count! :-)

Yep, WTF, after all this months I thought you would understand I was kidding with you.

Feel free to add me to your jerkarchive. You are one of the two people on the web I like best, I'm sorry, I'm being really silly these days.

Maria, Suzanne and Ali,
Thank you! Your guys sound great, and I'm hoping there's more like that out there for all the single women (and gay guys).

Nico,
Contrary to popular belief, I don't have a jerkarchive. And if I did, you would not be a part of it.

As far as being one of two people, I'm sorry, I just can't compete with Eric, he has one up on me in the "my past life as a rockstar" category. I never got past the fan stage. :-/

But it's not a competition =o)

ok....since my husband is computer challenged, i'll answer for him.
Nope, he's definitly a non oinker, even though he was born the chinese year of the pig. ::::lmao::::

He caters to my deep sence of sentimentality. He loves me in spite of the fact that he is such a neet freek, while i am a complete slob, and still thinks i am beautiful after all these years.

And who could resist a man who loves Monty Python movies and will watch Blue Velvet with you any time??? ;)
