04:21:2002 Entry: "Daft"

Daft

Stan and I decided today that we shall use the term "daft" when appropriate, rather than foolish, loony, stupid, incompetent, insane, dumb, etc. We will also apply British emphasis in the pronunciation, if applicable, too.

I like using words that people from my era or country seldom use. As Clint Eastwood said in one of his more recent movies, "there's a word your generation could learn to use."

Perhaps you'll be using "snog" and "slag off" as well! (with a British accent of course) (My personal favorite or favourite is slag off; there's no American term that means quite the same)

Clint Eastwood always say something cool, in a cool way, with a cool look ;o]

Chuffed, mithering and chuntering are good too. Knackered and bollocks are also personal favourites. Sadly all these words are underused in the blogging community! ;)

Shelagh, perhaps we can start a trend! I love chuffed...it sounds like a sound my Pug makes. I think I've used bollocks before, although you might need to give some pointers on the others to this Anglophile American!
